ABOUT US
Skoot the Block was founded with one simple goal: make getting around Norwalk easier, cleaner, and more affordable.
We provide electric scooters and e-bikes that connect residents, commuters, and visitors with local businesses, transit hubs, neighborhoods, and city destinations. With the Aniv app, riders can locate, unlock, ride, and pay in seconds.

By partnering with ANIV, a micro-mobility company, we are able to provide a free mobile app which quickly activates our scooters via smartphone. Skoot The Block aims to decrease congested-traffic areas and cut down air pollution all while creating a fun alternative to driving a vehicle. Our staff regulary maintain and charge the scooters. With the built in GPS tracking system we can keep track of each scooter and its current status. Riders do not have to worry about battery life and can ride freely.
Starting Friday May 19, 2023 all riders aged 18 and over will be able to take advantage of our e-scooters daily. There is an unlock fee of $1, once unlocked the ride fee is $.45 per minute. We also encourage all new riders to view our How To Ride tutorial on the app for safe riding tips that will show you how to operate our scooters.
Our app has a customer support section that offers live-chat feature with our local staff. One can also report damages to the scooters directly on the app. Our ANIV app is available for Apple and Android users via App store and Google play.
Our e-scooter hub is located at the Citgo gas station on 211 East Avenue, conveniently located near East Norwalk Train Station aswell as Signsmarts on 1st street which is located next to Mr Frostys. Hubs are where riders can pick up and drop off scooters. Additional hub locations will soon be announced. Take a stroll to Citgo or Signsmarts, scan the QR code, and Skoot the Block today!
